For our Elementary kids we offer hang-out time at the beginning, an interactive Bible story, games, and a small group discussion and application time, kids are immersed in a fun Jesus-focused atmosphere.

We love to have fun in CR Kids! Check out our upcoming themed weekends and join in the fun!

May 2:

May’s HYPE weekend is a 6k theme! The kids will hear about the Global 6k with Team World Vision. CR Kids will have a team that families can sign up for.

Kids of all ages are welcome in the worship center. We will also be continuing online CR Kids services during COVID and beyond so we can reach more kids for Jesus. Below is summary of actions being taken to reduce the COVID-19 risk as much as possible as we begin our first phase of regathering in CR Kids:

Precautions and preparations in CR Kids:

Having a safe, clean, and fun environment has always been our top priority. We’re intensifying our cleaning and disinfection protocols. We’re adjusting spaces, activities, and protocols to reduce the spread of COVID. We’ve created CR Kids weekly programming and Vacation Bible School to be available online. All gatherings at Crossroads Church will adhere to CDC and MN Dept. of Health requirements as outlined in Crossroad’s COVID-19 Preparedness Plan.

Facemask and temperature guidance:

CR Kids Volunteers and staff will be temperature checked and asked to wear mask in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order on masks.

Children ages 5 and under are exempt from the state mask requirements, and will not be asked to wear one in CR kids.

·       The CDC guidance regarding individuals who should not wear a face mask states face coverings should not be placed on young children under age 2; anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated; or anyone who is otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.

·       All other attendees are required to bring and wear personal masks.

Upon arrival to CR Kids:

·       Individuals not residing in the same household should refrain from handshakes, hugs, or other forms of contact when feasible. (Smiles, waves, and air high fives are encouraged 🙂 )

·       Only one parent or guardian can enter the CR Kids spaces for child drop-off & pick-up.

·       Hand sanitizer or sanitizer stations will be readily available and accessible.

·       Please follow any signage/instruction aimed to control the flow traffic within our spaces and help to promote distancing.

CR Kids service adaptations:

·       The number of items that are shared or touched between kids and our team will be limited.

·       We will be changing out toys in rooms between services.

·       There will be additional promotion of healthy hygiene practices.

·       We will encourage social distancing and the use of small groups when possible.

Much love and many blessings,

The CR Kids Team

The Bible tell us that ‘children are a blessing and a gift from God’ (Psalm 127:3). At Crossroads, we offer a ceremony to thank God for this blessing and make promises to Him to lead our children into a relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We call this ceremony a Parent Child Dedication. We offer dedications several times a year.

The next Dedication Service is April 25 during services at Woodbury, Eagan, and Hastings. Register your child to be dedicated on our Events Page.

Families with children of any age that are asking questions about baptism, or have expressed interest in being baptized, can attend a workshop to understand our beliefs in baptism.

The next Baptism is TBD. Registration will be on our Events Page.

We couldn’t be more excited about hosting VBS at our campus! We know VBS will be one of the highlights for your kids this summer. This will be a high-energy, exciting, faith-building experience that your child will not forget. Something remarkable can happen when a child starts learning to see themselves the way God sees them. To us, that’s real confidence. This summer, we’re planning a VBS that encourages every child to know that with Jesus, they can have confidence because…
      They are known.
      They belong.
      They are forgiven.
      They can change.
      They can make a difference.
We hope you won’t miss this opportunity to help your child have that confidence!
