Promise Principles

Promise Principles – We study one Bible chapter throughout the week, reading it each day. When we gather for group, together we will read each chapter and discuss how God is speaking to us. We will learn together and celebrate each other as we face challenges close to home, on the job and through the difficult current events of the day. This small group is for anyone of all ages no matter where you are in your walk with Jesus. We lean on the group for community and connection, all while diving directly into the Bible!

Sermon Rewind

Sermon Rewind– This group is for anyone who wants to go deeper in a conversation about the sermon each week. The teaching pastors will provide questions to reflect on and discuss together. Every week there we will go deeper as we learn and apply what was taught over the weekend.

Not A Fan

Not a Fan by Kyle Idleman – What are you a fan of? I’m sure we can all list something…whether that’s a favorite restaurant, favorite movie, or possibly a sports team. What about when it comes to our faith? Are we a fan of Jesus, or are we truly following Jesus? Fans want to be close enough to Jesus to get all the benefits, but not so close that it requires sacrifice. Fans may be fine with repeating a prayer, attending church on the weekend, and slapping a “Jesus fish” on their bumpers, but is that really the extent of the relationship Jesus wants? Jesus was never interested in having admirers. It’s not fans he is looking for. Not a Fan by Kyle Idleman challenges you to consider what it really means to call yourself a Christian. Together, we will be invited to take an honest look at our relationship with Jesus. His call to truly follow Him may be a little radical for us, but it will help us to be a true follower of Jesus, and not just a fan.

The Grace of God

The Grace of God by Andy Stanley – Andy Stanley, an incredible pastor and leader, wrote this book focusing on God’s grace. We see in the pages of Scripture that often the passages mirror our own stories, and just like those in Scripture, we, too, need the very thing we do not deserve: the grace of God. From the beginning, the church has had an uneasy relationship with grace as the gravitational pull is always toward graceless religion. However, what is contradicting in the New Testament is the only stance Jesus was against consistently was graceless religion. The only group he relentlessly fought against was graceless religious leaders. In this group, we will focus all on the grace of God and how that is demonstrated in our daily lives.

Kill the Spider

Kill the Spider by Carlos Whittaker – Carlos is an author and speaker based in Nashville. In his book, Kill the Spider, he addresses the fact that we all have something in our lives that we have to clean up. This may be the literal messes to keep the house clean, or it may be something deeper, a sin or struggle that we are constantly trying to hide. Instead of finding the root cause of the issue, we just clean up the symptoms. We may clean up the “cobwebs,” but we never kill the “spider.” In this group, you will go through Carlos Whittaker’s book to find your “spider” and journey together to kill the spider.

Be the Bridge

Be the Bridge by Latasha Morrison – In a world that is more divided than ever, we need bridge builders. We need people who are willing to stand in the gap and pursue justice and racial unity in the light of the gospel. We will be reading and discussing a book titled, “Be the Bridge: Pursuing God’s Heart for Racial Reconciliation.” Together we will learn, discuss and struggle with what it means to be a bridge builder and how we, as followers of Jesus, can bring about reconciliation and change.
